Affirmations

Affirmations Mamta Verma  One day, I was waiting for the results of my final exams, I was very anxious. restless, and doubtful. I was trying to divert my thoughts, but my mind was focused on it. I was tossing and turning and could not sleep. My mother came to check on me. I told my mother that my mind does not get off my exam results. She said very calmly, ” Did you work hard?  Do you believe in yourself? Why do you have self-doubt?” She advised me to believe in myself. And that moment, my restlessness and self-doubt disappeared. I was wondering why it happened?  When you start believing in yourself, you do not need validation from others, except yourself. Affirmations are like self-talks to self. You give positive messages to yourself. The encouraging and motivational statements that are given by parents, grandparents, teachers, or by yourself are affirmations. Like my mother said,” Believe in Yourself”. It immediately relieved my stress about the exams. Similarly, when ...
